This charming and quaint city is a sight to see in Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Day Tours
While staying in Dubrovnik, Croatia I wanted to check out some of the surrounding countries. The great thing about tourism nowadays is that there are various day tours that you can take that’ll show you some of the great attractions and multiple cities within that country. So, for Bosnia and Herzegovina I decided to book a trip where I could see the waterfalls of Kravice.

Chasing Waterfalls
Hidden behind the trees and brush you could hear the roaring gush of water. But in order to see them you had to make your way down a slippery trail. As you got closer you could feel the cool, crisp air as the water droplets began to rush at your face. With no rain coat or protection I was immediately getting wet from head to toe. But it was so beautiful seeing those giant waterfalls pour down over the rocks and making their way down the river that I didn’t care if I was getting soaked.

Mostar
That river eventually made its way to the city of Mostar. Known and named for its iconic bridge built during it’s reign by the Ottoman Empire. All around I saw similar Islamic artifacts and souvenirs that I had seen before in Morocco. As you made your way down the Old Town streets you could hear the call to prayer fill the city but also local music playing at some of the stores and restaurants.
Mostar Meats
Another thing that Mostar was popular for was its array of meats that I had the pleasure of trying at the restaurant Sadrvan. A mix of different beefs and lamb it was delicious and fulfilling and you should definitely pair it with some local beer.

This charming city is a must see if you want to experience history and Turkish influence within Europe. It’s also great to see for the beautiful architecture that is still standing after 400 years. I still have the fuzzy winter shoes that I purchased as a souvenir and continue to use them to this day!
